About the Role: 

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Medical Billing Representative to manage the billing processes for our healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will play a key role in verifying insurance coverage, processing claims, ensuring timely payments, and managing denial resolutions. The representative will work closely with our billing team, insurance providers, and other departments to ensure smooth operations and accurate billing processes.

Role Responsibilities: 

  • Manage the entire billing process from start to finish, ensuring all claims are processed in a timely and accurate manner. 

  • Verify insurance coverage for clients and ensure that all necessary information is captured. 

  • Process claims accurately and submit them to insurance companies within the required timeframe. 

  • Monitor accounts receivable, following up on outstanding balances and ensuring timely payments. 

  • Maintain detailed records of billing activities and generate periodic reports as required. 

  • Communicate effectively with insurance providers, clients, and team members to resolve any billing issues. 

  • Focus on denial management, reviewing denied claims, investigating reasons for denials, and taking appropriate action to secure payment. 

  • Perform monthly eligibility checks with Millin/Seek, collaborating closely with billing coordinators and intake teams. 

  • Utilize various billing tools and software, including Dragon, to pull sessions that need to be billed, scrub data, and submit claims to insurance. 

  • Oversee the approval process, ensuring all claims are approved by insurance companies and payments are received. 

Job Requirements: 

  • Previous experience in medical billing or healthcare is a MUST. 

  • Strong attention to detail, excellent problem solving and communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Proficiency in medical billing software and claims processing. 

  • Familiarity with insurance policies, healthcare billing regulations, and denial management procedures. 

  • Tech-savvy, with proficiency in tools such as Excel and EMR systems. 

  • Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate with billing coordinators and intake staff. 

Other Job Information: 

  • Preferred experience with Millin/SEEK for eligibility checks and billing systems.

Compensation Package: 

New York Pay Range: $23 - $30/hr
